Lackadaisy Scapegoat, Misdemeanor, Revenuer
I don't know anyone who reads this and cares about Lackadaisy and hasn't read the latest three pages already -- I mean, come on, isn't that what being obsessed with a webcomic is all about -- but I'm using a spoilercut anyway for just-in-case.
Oy, things are not going great at the Hotel Zibifornia, are they? I can't imagine Mitzi's going to be delighted with him getting himself arrested over public drunkenness, i.e. pretty foolishly and avoidably, particularly if it winds up bringing the Treasury down on their asses. I love him anyway, though, even if he doesn't think there's any such thing as an inappropriate time to be sarcastic. I wonder if he'll be honest with her about the lockup -- well, I guess it depends how long he's stuck there. But I'm not sure yet if he's the kind of person to be forthcoming about having done stupid things that could get them all in trouble (usually he has Rocky to draw fire for that one) or if he, like many of us, doesn't see a problem with a little, uh, revisionism. And I wonder if throwing away his club pin is going to be a Chekhov's gun of some variety? Everything is in this goddamned comic. Love it.
I'm pretty excited about the intro of Dom Drago here -- so far we haven't had any plot-helming antags aside from Asa, which while Asa's great kind of poses the Avengers-movie problem of Well If There's Only One Of Him And Seven Of Them What's The Problem Here. Douchey feds are the bestest trope, though. No crime story is complete without a douchey fed. I'm already wondering if his plot role is going to be some kind of "enemy of my enemy" thing, i.e. blackmailing the Lackadaisy group into some kind of compliance to try and reel in the Marigolds -- "bigger fish to fry," right? I don't know. I'm really not good enough to predict this comic, though I'm pleased my manipulative!Atlas hypothesis seems to be getting hinted at.
relia wonders if Mitzi's forged Wick check will get used by Drago at some point to force Wick's compliance with him also -- again, he doesn't seem interested in the Lackadaisy ring any more, but the Marigolds are another story. I also nearly typed that "Drogo" again. That would be very different.
Also I'm choosing to interpret the first page as Zib's drunken half-confession that he's in love with Mitzi and Atlas knew it. You can't stop me.
Sometime I'm going to make a big My Lackadaisy Plot Theories post for the rest of you not to care about. For the meantime, I'm going to keep wondering why in God's name if your name was Dorian you'd go by 'Zib?' Like, I get the storytelling necessity of not naming your characters overly sexy things like "Dorian," but come on, Zib!

Isn't it exciting though?? Every time something gets dropped that miiiight just be a plothint or be important I go crazy theorizing, because it SO OFTEN IS.

I bet Zib was not a consensual nickname. As someone cursed with a Zibowski-esque last name, trust me, you're really lucky if Zib's the worst you got.
You should make that plot theory post :)

I'm choosing to believe it's at least partly Rocky's fault. The problem with Rocky is that he probably actually didn't mean any ill.
I think I might! It has the siren song of "if I write it down now and it turns out to be true later then I can feel victorious and timestamped," or the more likely, "if I write it down now I can laugh at how wrong I was in hindsight."
