FOUNDATION DEF DESERVES TO BE ABOVE I, ROBOT. I, Robot is thoughtful and imaginative and a masterpiece, but Foundation takes what I, Robot starts and ramps it up by 15. It takes human psychology from a global scale to a universal scale. Foundation grapples more about politics and human society structures, and you can't believe the BALLS of a scientist who claims to be able to map the course of human society for the next 1000 years based on basic human group-thought patterns, except HE DOES and it is amazing to see the events unfold. Some of the plots get a little weird in later books, but the first and second Foundation books, when you finish them, feel like someone bitchslapped you with revelation.

Sorry, I have a bit of a tinhat on when it comes to Foundation. I can see how obviously more iconic I, Robot is, and both books do wonderful things in different ways <3

I'll spam more about this list in my own journal, but I agree with your points about the biases and the confusion in the list.

JERSEY SHORE <3 Which town?
