Meryn Trant is hotter than I expected. The actor, though, is doing him justice in the "doing what I'm told, no questions asked" department.

- My least favorite was the weird scene with Pycelle and the hooker, which was not so much dreadful as it was bafflingly tertiary. I have no idea why that was in there.

I think as a kind of a mirror to the scene with Cersei and Lancel. Also, to show that once upon a time, the Grand Maester is actually more vigorous and capable, and to give us a few more clues about Aerys Targaryen.
