I agree on Jaime; for TV audiences it may be hard to get them to invest in him in season 3 if he's been despicable as far as they can tell through seasons 1 and 2. After all, the experience of watching Game of Thrones is much longer than the experience of reading A Song of Ice and Fire -- for readers, you've probably had a few weeks of hating Jaime Lannister before you get to A Storm of Swords and face his turnaround, whereas TV viewers may be less willing to recant their opinions after a few years. It's a good point.
Sam Tarly is amazing and is probably the most sympathetic point of the whole Wall storyline, aside from Dolorous Edd. I keep looking for Dolorous Edd. Dolorous Edd holds kind of a Bronn status for me, I'm probably gonna cheer when we confirmedly see him be dolorous at the camera.
