I wouldn't mind the changes in Cersei herself if so many other characters weren't finely balanced on her not being ultimately sympathetic: Tyrion and Sansa and Jaime being among them, I think. Personally I'm kind of fond of her as a character and find her more... infuriatingly irrational than cartoonishly crazy, like, I think I've met some Cerseis IRL, people so convinced the world's given them a bad handout that you're either With Them or Against Them. Actually I think the entire American Tea Party is comprised of Cersei Lannister, after a fashion. But that's neither here nor there.

I'm really worried about Cat. Sansa I understand because it's hard to comprehend her actions without the benefit of her actual POV, and hopefully her situation in Clash of Kings will serve as enough character development to make people realize she's a flawed character, not an unsympathetic character. But Cat... I don't know, again, there's enough misogynistically-tinged vitriol directed at her in fandom, I'm concerned that she'll come off as even more unsympathetic to some people in her screen behavior. And Dany. Agh, Dany, agh. I can't believe they've robbed Dany of so much for VISERYS'S benefit? Why? What purpose could this possibly serve?

Is that a Brienne-ish icon I spy? :D
