That's always the trouble with adaptations, isn't it? At least with some venues, like most Hollywood, you know it's probably going to be bad (especially if the promotional material bears it out that way); with BBC there's always the chance it could be superficially enjoyable but just screw up a bunch of stuff, which is the worst.
